The scheme, by Morris+Company architects, has been designed to respect local heritage, enhance the public realm, deliver economic benefit, and provide a significant financial contribution towards affordable housing in the borough.
The project aims to deliver over 800 student bedrooms in a high-quality 45-storey tower, the restoration and enhancement of two existing locally listed buildings, a new pocket park and active frontages. The project would also contribute over £30m towards affordable housing in the borough.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their views on our proposals for 231-235 Southwark Bridge Road. The feedback period has now closed.
Scape held two public drop-in events on 4 February and 7 February to show the community regarding the development. We are currently reviewing all comments and suggestions received. This feedback will help inform the ongoing development of the proposals ahead of submitting a full planning application in Spring 2026.

Following the two consultation events on Wednesday 4 and Saturday 7 February, Scape held and online briefing event on Wednesday 11 February the application for people who were unable to attend the in-person events.
